Overview

This much needed expansion project is critical for ensuring the hospital can continue to meet the healthcare needs of the growing region. The upgrades will modernise the hospital and provide easier access to health services for Queenslanders.

The Hospital Rescue Plan will deliver:

An expansion by 2028
112 new overnight beds
An expanded ICU, medical day unit and more operating theatres
Solutions and funding to address the energy supply risk.
